MetLife offers participants access to thousands of general dentists and specialists nationwide, as well as out-of-network benefits. The insurer processes more than three-quarters of claims in one business day, and negotiated fees are typically 15% to 45% less than the average for the same or similar services charged by dentists in your area.
All plans cover preventive care, including oral exams and X-rays; as well as amalgam fillings and surgical extractions. Plans covering crowns, dentures, implants and other procedures are also available.

Vision
MetLife offers NYSBA members quality vision care, including low-or no-copay eye exams, retinal imagine, glasses and contacts, and discounts on laser corrective surgery. Choose from two levels of coverage that provide access to a large network of ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians, as well as reimbursement plans for out-of-network services.
